Rena’s Italian Fishery & Grill is looking for friendly, professional and energetic Hosts to join our opening team in Johns Creek. The Host is often the first and last person our guests encounter, making this position an important part of the Rena’s experience.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Greet every guest promptly and warmly upon arrival.
- Manage the front door and maintain a welcoming and professional atmosphere.
- Manage reservations, wait lists and table assignments as directed.
- Escort guests to tables and provide menus.
- Communicate accurate wait times and seating information to guests.
- Monitor dining room activity and coordinate seating with servers and management.
- Answer phones and assist guests with basic questions regarding the restaurant.
- Maintain an organized and clean host stand and entry area.
- Assist with menus, table resets and other front-of-house duties as needed.
- Communicate effectively with servers, management, kitchen and other team members.
- Assist in maintaining smooth guest flow during busy service periods.
- Provide professional and courteous service to all guests.
- Follow all company service and appearance standards.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous host, customer service or restaurant experience preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Friendly, outgoing and professional personality.
- Ability to remain calm and organized in a busy environment.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities.
- Comfortable using a reservation or point-of-sale system.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Must be available for evenings, weekends and holidays as scheduled.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
